Mixology Demonstrations

Pull up a seat as one of our lead bartenders teaches you the essentials of cocktail making. Learn how to mix a perfectly balanced drink for every occasion and mood, then take your skills home with you and become your friends’ new favorite bartender.

Each Mixology Demonstration will guide you through the process of crafting one of our signature cocktails, show you proper bartending techniques, and encourage you to explore your creativity from behind the bar.

Please note, Mixology Demonstrations are available at various times and dates for both Louis' House of Bourbon and Marc Restaurant and Bar. After learning some insider tips-and-tricks, guests may enjoy the featured cocktail of the day for $15. All participants must be at least 21 years old.

Charcuterie Workshop

Filled with a variety of meats, cheeses, and other seasonal delicacies, our Charcuterie Workshop is a 90-min tutorial that is sure to leave you ready to impress at your next gathering. Guests will be encouraged to mingle and enjoy their charcuterie board creations after the workshop concludes. Take-home boxes will be provided for any unfinished food items.

Each of our Charcuterie Workshops include all the charcuterie board ingredients, a charcuterie board as a take home gift, cutlery, and complimentary wine to enjoy during the workshop. 

Special Considerations:

• Check-in at the Tasting Room on the first floor of the Winery, 15-minutes before the start of class.
• Each guest will be supplied with a charcuterie board, cutlery, board ingredients, and Chateau Elan wine.
• Vegetarian and vegan board options are also available and can be requested at time of booking.

Painting Classes

Designed for all-levels of artistry, get your creative juices flowing as you sip wine and create a custom, painted masterpiece. Join our resident artist, Tracy Kokfe, inside our historic winery as she guides you step-by-step through paintings.

During the course, artists can enjoy a winemaker’s selection of Chateau Elan reds, whites, and rose wines. With our art experts by your side, each class will create a different seasonal painting, discover new artistic styles and techniques, and leave with a memory to cherish for a lifetime.

Each painter will be supplied with a 16″ x 20″ canvas, an easel, paint brushes, and acrylic paints. Cheese and charcuterie can be purchased upon arrival.

Wellness Classes

Your wellness doesn't need to take a vacation, even when you're on one. At Chateau Elan we offer a variety of small-group fitness activities each week, including aqua-aerobics, strength training, body sculpting, yoga, meditation, and more. Stay active with one-of-a-kind workouts featuring unique indoor/outdoor settings and top-notch instructors.

Nature Trails

Whether you choose to stroll the Spa Loop, take the trek around the Equestrian Center, or tackle the challenging hills of the Private Estates, our collection of nature trails and walking paths are the perfect way to get out and breathe in some of North Georgia's finest. During your excursion, find time to make a deeper connection with your surroundings and discover the beauty of every acre you explore.

As always, please remember to stop by the Front Desk and pick up a walking map before heading out. The nature trails and walking paths should only be traversed during daylight hours. Please do not leave trash on the trails nor should you feed wildlife that you may come across. North Georgia wildlife is oftentimes harmless but please take caution and avoid any animals that you may come into contact with along your journey. 

Bike Rentals

Experience an outdoor adventure as you bike through over 3,500 acres of winery, nature trails, and private estates. Bike rental is complimentary for all Chateau Elan Winery & Resort in-house guests and are available for pick-up at the Front Desk of the Inn at Chateau. Bike rentals are available from 9 a.m. - 5 p.m.

Please note, our nature trails are not without some challenge, as the terrain can be hilly. For recommended bike routes, please speak with a member of our team and they will be happy to provide you with suggestions for biking to your particular comfort level.

Helmets are available to guests upon request.

Wine Bungalows

Gather your friends and family to spend time together in style, inside one of our ‘Wine Bungalows.’ Overlooking the Chateau Elan vineyards, each Wine Bungalow is best suited for groups of four to six guests and are the perfect reprieve for unique celebrations or small gatherings.

Each bungalow features a stylish design that is complemented with a mix of vintage and contemporary furnishings and is equipped with temperature-controlled capabilities. Wine Bungalows are available in three-hour increments with reservations at 12 p.m. and 4 p.m., daily.

With cleanliness and safety in mind, a Wine Bungalow staff member will deep clean each bungalow in between bookings, ensuring that all surfaces have been sanitized in preparation for the next reservation. Please arrive promptly at your reservation’s start time and a Wine Bungalow team member will be available to check you in and give you a brief overview of the experience.

To enhance the Wine Bungalow experience, we have included a ‘Bungalow Basket’ complete with an assortment of gourmet snacks, plus one bottle of Chateau Elan Reserve Collection Wine or Chateau Elan Muscadine Wine. Additional wine and charcuterie boards can be purchased inside the Tasting Room.

Check-In
Please check-in for your experience with our Wine Bungalow host, who will be waiting for your arrival inside the Tasting Room. A liability form will need to be completed at the time of check-in.

Special Considerations
• Reservations must be made at least 24-hours in advance and are non-refundable.
• Guests must be 21 years of age or older and be able to provide proof of age at check-in.
• Please arrive promptly at your check-in time, as 3-hour reservations begin exactly at 12 p.m. and 4 p.m. Your time is not extended if you are late.
• Smoking is not permitted inside the Wine Bungalows and will incur a tent replacement fee of $1,000.
• Pets are not allowed inside the Wine Bungalows and will incur an additional cleaning fee of $500.
• No outside food, alcohol, or decorations are permitted inside the Wine Bungalows.
• No touching, moving, or adjusting the heat source. Your ‘Wine Bungalow’ host will assist you in setting your preferred temperature at check-in.
• The maximum group size per bungalow is 6 guests. Additional guests will not be permitting inside bungalows.
• Chateau Elan Winery and Resort are not held liable for any personal injury that occurs in or around the bungalows.

Cancellations
All reservations are non-refundable. If Chateau Elan Winery and Resort needs to cancel your reservation for any reason (including but not limited to extreme weather) you will be notified as soon as possible and given a full refund by original payment method.

Damages Agreement
If your party is found to be responsible for any damages to the tent or items within your bungalow during your rental, by making this reservation you agree to be charged as per the list below:
     • Canvas Tent: $500
     • HVAC: $500
     • Couch: $350
     • Chair: $150
     • Large Rug (main area 8×10): $100
     • Small Rug (entry/accent): $150
     • Side Table: $50
     • Coffee Table: $50
     • Throw Pillow: $25

Contract
By proceeding with a wine tent reservation, you are accepting all rules & regulations of both Timberline Glamping and Chateau Elan Winery and Resort. This includes the aforementioned bungalow policies, rates, hours, damages agreement, and cancellation policy.

Fireside S'mores

Starting at dusk, come huddle around the ambiance of a open fire and indulge in one of our favorite traditions— creating delicious s’mores, toasted just to your liking. S’more sets are available for purchase at Le Petit Cafe for $12. Fire pits are located throughout the property; outside the Winery, outside Sarazen's Bar & Grille, and the Poolside Entertainment Deck - available to overnight guests only.

Special Consideration:

• Please take great care when roasting marshmallows over an open flame.
• Poolside Entertainment Deck is only available to overnight guests.
• Children younger than 13 should not roast marshmallows.
• Children between 13 and 18 should only roast marshmallows while under adult supervision.

Sunset Stargazing

As dusk turns to dark, join our stargazing expert around the winery fire pit for a guided, out-of-this-world astronomy experience. Explore the North Georgia night sky with professional telescopes as they point out to star constellations, planets in orbit, and other lunar objects.

Event dates are set to correspond with the monthly moon cycle and other celestial phenomenon. Stargazing at Chateau is approximately 60mins in duration, takes place shortly after sunset, and is weather/cloud dependent.

Please note, guests should meet stargazing instructor in front of the winery for evening stargazing. All members of the family are welcome and are invited to come learn about the wonders of outerspace. The event will begin with a short intro into stargazing, a brief walkthrough of the equipment, and an overview of the lunar subjects guests will be viewing. Questions are encouraged at any time.

The only equipment you will need for this experience is your curiosity and excitement. We have identified the following dates for prime stargazing:

Al Fresco Soirées

Chateau Elan's 'Al Fresco Soirées' are the complete package for any intimate gathering. This unique private dining experience is best suited to groups of 6-12 guests and needs to be reserved at least one week in advance. 

Each Al Fresco Soirée includes a wine steward, food and beverage service, personalized décor, and your choice of venue for a three hour reservation. Gourmet charcuterie picnic ($250/per person++). Additionally, for each guest in attendance, our wine steward will perfectly pair a bottle of Chateau Elan wine to your meal selection.

Special Considerations:

• Guests may select their preferred venue between our picturesque Rose Vineyard or East Vineyard Lawn. 
• Al Fresco Soirées must be booked at least one (1) week in advance of event date, Sunday through Thursday, based on availability. 
• A rain call will be made 48-hours in advance and at that time, an event date may be rescheduled due to weather. If weather changes within 48-hours, an event date may be rescheduled. 
• If a guest chooses to cancel the booking themselves, within seven (7) days of their event, a refund will not be given. If a guest cancels a booking outside of seven days, a refund will be given.  

Picnic d’Chateau

Enjoy a moment of requiescence, away from it all, inside the heart of our vineyards. Surround yourself with nature and indulge in an exquisite picnic basket filled with artisanal cheeses, cured meats, sandwiches, fruits, sweets, and your choice of Chateau Elan wine. 

Pre-packed picnic baskets are available for ordering through our Guest Experiences department. Guests should select their preferred wine at time of booking. Guests may select between a bottle of Merlot, Velvet, Pinot Noir, Chardonnay, Sauvignon Blanc, Duncan Red, or Duncan Creek. Picnic baskets can be delivered to guestrooms or are available for pick-up at the Front Desk or at the Winery. Please note, no blanket is provided. Blankets are available for purchase separately from Le Petit Boutique. Minimum of 24 hour advance notice required.

Afternoon Tea

Crafted by our in-house patissier team, Afternoon Tea features a curated collection of handmade savory sandwiches, sweet bites, and a extensive selection of loose-leaf teas.

Guests will enjoy tea sandwiches, freshly baked scones, pastries, petit fours, served with preserves, honey, and clotted cream.

Afternoon Tea is hosted inside our glass-top atrium, adjacent to Versailles Restaurant, every Wednesday through Sunday with seatings available at 2PM and 3PM. 

All menu items are subject to change according to seasonality and availability. Menu items may contain nuts, shellfish, seafood, eggs.

• Winery Market: Shop through Chateau Elan’s award-winning selection of local, domestic, and international wines. Plus, our Winery Retail Market offers a top-end collection of barware, logo keepsakes, distinctive kitchen and home decor accessories, and artisanal foods and snacks. The Winery Retail Market is located at the Winery at Chateau Elan.
• Spa Gift Shop: Keep glowing, even after you’ve left the spa. Our Spa Gift Shop is a healing hub with wellness and beauty inspired products for a sensory journey. We offer a wide range of skin care lines, perfumes, home fragrances, loungewear, lingerie, and countless gifts with intention. The Spa Gift Shop is located on the lobby level of our Spa at Chateau Elan.
• Le Visage: Beauty at your fingertips. Featuring high-end oils, creams, and a variety of beauty items. Le Visage is our luxury boutique, located on the third floor of our Spa at Chateau Elan, and carries designer skin-care lines like Eminence, Swissline, and Cosmedix. Please inquire at the spa desk for access to Le Visage.
