What defines a Spa Group at Chateau Elan?

 

A Spa Group is a group of people who want to have appointments blocked around the same time, dine together, and enjoy down-time together at the Spa. Groups have one contact who coordinates the event with the Spa Group Coordinator and secure services with one method of payment.

Spa Events are often held to celebrate Employee Appreciation Days, Corporate Events, Bridal Showers, Baby Showers, Birthday Parties as well as reunions for friends or families.

 

 

Groups of guests who wish to schedule and secure services individually should book via central Reservations.

 

 

May individual group members submit their own Spa service requests?

Group members will not have the option to submit individual requests.  All attendees must submit requests via one designated group contact. This contact will, in turn, relay the requests to the Spa Group Coordinator at Chateau Elan who will arrange the Spa Event schedule.  To ensure a flawless group event, only requests submitted via the group’s representative will be accepted by the Spa Group Coordinator.

Will the gender of my therapist be guaranteed?

We guarantee a qualified therapist at the time of your appointment. We book services with therapists based on their specialties, therefore, due to the levels of staffing on any given day, we do not guarantee the gender of a therapist.

What methods of payment are accepted for Spa Group Events?

 

All services must be secured via one credit card or master account. Upon arrival, charges may be taken care of by the group or be paid for by the individual. Please note that in the event that a group member cancels the service within the cancellation policy or does not come in for an appointment for any reason, the method of payment securing all services (credit card or master account) will be charged.

The Spa accepts the following methods of payment for groups: Master Bill (A master account must be set up prior to your visit), Guest room charge, Credit Card (Credit Card Authorization Form Required), Chateau Elan Gift Card (Must be presented at the time services are rendered), Cash, or Business Check (Credit Card & Credit Card Authorization Form required at the time of booking to secure services).

 

Is gratuity included in the price of my service?

For your convenience, a 20% service charge and 7% sales tax will be applied to base prices listed on the website and on all literature.

What is the cancellation policy for Spa groups?

We require a contract to be signed a minimum of 10 days prior to your event. Up to 10 days prior to your event we can communicate and make any changes to your block of appointments, based on availability. All unwanted services must be released at the 10 day deadline. After the 10 day deadline, any remaining services blocked for your group are non-cancelable and not changeable. Name changes will be accepted up to 72 hours prior to your event. All services booked within 10 days of an event are non-cancelable and not changeable.

When should I arrive at the Spa for my appointment?

We recommend that all guests arrive at least 30 minutes prior to their service time. This allows time for checking in, changing into robe and slippers and making your way to a designated waiting area 5 – 10 minutes prior to the appointment time.

What happens if I arrive late for my appointment?

Should you arrive late for your treatment, the treatment will be modified to maximize the remaining time without compromising the next appointment.  Full rates will still apply in this instance.

What is included in my day?

For your use and enjoyment, please feel free to take advantage of our relaxing amenities which include: a Whirlpool Jacuzzi, Sauna, Steam room, Fitness Center, as well as complimentary Fitness Classes. Complimentary Afternoon Tea is served daily in our dining room from 4:00pm - 5:30pm.

What should I wear and bring to the Spa?

Comfortable clothes should be worn to the spa. If you intend to take advantage of the facilities, please remember to bring work-out clothes and shoes, as well as a swimsuit. While lockers are provided, it is recommended that jewelry and any other valuables be left at home. Complimentary robe and slippers will be provided for each guest during their time at the spa. If group attendees have gift cards please remind them to bring it to the Spa, as this will serve as the method of payment for service(s).  If you bring a cell phone, please remember to turn it off during your visit to the Spa.

Is it safe to have a massage if I am pregnant?

Yes. In fact, there is no medical or professional contradiction for performing massage on a client who is pregnant. As a precaution, we at Chateau Elan have decided not to perform massage for clients in their 1st trimester. Treatments that are medically contradictive would be any treatment that raises the core body temperature, which is something that is not recommended for any pregnancy at any time. For example, we would not recommend the Herbal Linen Wrap or the Coconut Paraffin Body Masque to any of our pregnant guests. Keep in mind that the hand treatment in facials or a warm towel on the feet will feel great and will not raise the core body temperature.  Also, all of the products used at the Spa are safe for pregnant guests.

Are children allowed at the Spa?

Due to the relaxing nature of the Spa which is guaranteed to be an all adult environment no one under the age of 18 is permitted to use Spa facilities, stay at the spa or receive certain treatments.  Please see the A La Carte Spa Menu for the limited selection of treatments for teens.

How do I get to the Spa at Chateau Elan?

From Atlanta, GA take I-85 North to Exit 126 and turn left. Chateau Elan is the first entrance on the left. As you enter the resort, please take the first right turn and the Spa will be on the right.
